InteBA 5 - 2 Surikatky (383784678)

The 35450 spectators at InteBA Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Aviv Tzalik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ābrams Lujāns and Joel Hawthorn. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for InteBA. Lineup: Seleznev - Vilkolák, Arcellone, Gamberini - Schweiger, Rozavička, Jenei, Poruba, Májovský - Laslo, Kunco.

Surikatky decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Smilnický - Domkowitsch, Lengua, Jankulič - Kredatus, Mante, Zátvarnický, Nielen, Bros Nielsen - Kohajda, Buko.

The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Surikatky's H. Lengua after 12 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 17 minutes into the match, an alert C. Májovský bagged the ball for InteBA, levelling the score to 1 - 1. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, M. Kunco scored for InteBA putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 21 minutes. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Schweiger got himself booked. The manager of InteBA was not happy. The visiting team's J. Jankulič was able to score the 2 - 2 equaliser with a header 40 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. At 41 minutes played, J. Jenei came in from the right with the intention of giving InteBA the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Halftime score was 2 - 2. InteBA had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

After 56 minutes, InteBA raised their score by one when C. Májovský's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by M. Kunco. 3 - 2. Surikatky's S. Buko was shown a yellow card after 61 minutes for slicing down an opponent. It wasn't a good day at all for A. Gamberini. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Kunco broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 2 to InteBA. This third goal completed a hattrick for M. Kunco. N. Laslo should probably have put his team up another goal after 77 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Smilnický kept the visitors in the game. A wonderful trick by C. Májovský that left R. Nielen bewildered really deserved to end in a goal but the keeper made a fine save. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Jenei squirmed through their central defence after 78 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 2. Surikatky's S. Mante got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for InteBA, E. Rozavička was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. J. Kašpárek replaced him. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by InteBA, with 56 percent of the ball.

Most important InteBA player was M. Kunco. I. Vilkolák turned in a dismal performance, however. Surikatky's best player was S. Buko. O. Kredatus was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 2.
