Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 30165 at
Gold Arena today.
Reto Rager was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Saimir Lama and
Fritz Buller.
Malacky tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Bobol - Korčák, Puskás, Chassidim - Krejčí, Meysel, Ľuptáčik, Kuzmič, Anjel - Lalík, Tršo.
Kamelia decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Sygut - Joó, Gava, Basaez - Suditu, Halecký, Šamudovský, Ohradzanský, Boule - Sáinz Quintana, Lehtikangas.
It was an obvious ambition of Malacky to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
After 21 minutes,
I. Tršo came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Malacky the lead.
An equalising goal seemed certain after 23 minutes when
M. Gava attacked down the left wing, but
A. Bobol just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net.
After 25 minutes,
I. Tršo put Malacky ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as
M. Boule struck home, set up well by a play on the left 27 minutes into the match.
28 minutes into the match Kamelia's
M. Boule head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Malacky, with 53 percent of the ball.
Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Kamelia's
C. Joó put the ball in the onion bag after 60 minutes to make it 2 - 2.
