previous 2/10 next 4/10  Hafiry 3 - 1 Debrődiek (383801007)

Dark skies made the crowd of 26308 at Hafirnak Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ted Schnider was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ābrams Lujāns and Jaime Tunjano. Hafiry tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Starters: Scheuermann - Glenda, Igelgren, Rojas, Quốc An - Räisänen, Videršpan, Klinga, Gabbiadini, Wellinger - Blindheim.

Debrődiek had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Zumbo - Duyndam, Metsätie, Foldager - Soto Campo, Paccassoni, Iazzetta, Ovečka, Ion - Muhtar, Brenker.

Hafiry saw most attack opportunities on the wings. 6 minutes in, Hafiry's I. Igelgren received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Debrődiek, as U. Paccassoni left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. M. Rapčík took his place on the field. The referee showed Debrődiek's R. Soto Campo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In a fantastic display of determination, Hafiry's J. Rojas forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. After 20 minutes of play, J. Rojas gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. R. Soto Campo managed to make an excellent pass from the flank, but I. Ion was not as skillfull in scoring. It was obvious that Hafiry had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Debrődiek tied it all up, 37 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by G. Duyndam, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. After 39 minutes, J. Rojas came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Hafiry the lead. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Hafiry claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

G. Foldager's penalty kick ended up in the arms of the keeper, preventing the equaliser, 48 minutes into the game. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 72 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when I. Muhtar tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Hafiry put themselves up 3 - 1 when V. Gabbiadini broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Possession in this half belonged to Hafiry, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Hafiry's top performer was clearly M. Räisänen. However, J. Rojas made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Debrődiek player was without a doubt I. Muhtar. A. Metsätie turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
