Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Smilno Arena saw a crowd turnout of 19766.
Claudio Bastarrica was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Simon Gabriel Eilers and
Miguel Rubio.
All of
Prešovský was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
A 4-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Smilno.
The following players had been chosen: Závracký - Kahánek, György, Tomík, Turanský - Silváš, Gedó, Kubicza, Greggio - Vican.
Vrazda tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Casacubierta - Opava, Yläkorpi, Díez de Medina - Worm, Mišiak, Rolandsson, Mpekas, Ihradský - Žatecký, Salinas.
Vrazda took a creative approach on the field.

L. Opava curved a free kick into the net. 0 - 1
Smilno's
M. Greggio got himself booked for a foul.
O. Díez de Medina was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Vrazda's

Some fine movement on the left led to a Vrazda goal after 39 minutes, making it 0 - 4.
G. Mpekas was noted down as the scorer.
By now, the players in Vrazda felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
42 minutes into the game, Smilno had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Vrazda's
L. Ihradský somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
W. Worm, who struck for 0 - 5.
A drive down the left side allowed
L. Opava to get in close and score another goal for Vrazda after 44 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6.
0 - 6 was the halftime score.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Smilno had
solid organisation.
58 minutes into the game, Vrazda worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
After 59 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Smilno found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
After 68 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
L. Ihradský to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 7.
J. Salinas was, after 70 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
F. Závracký made the save.
With 72 minutes of the game having been played,
E. Turanský received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. Smilno, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players.
J. Salinas left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 73 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
M. Spevák was the replacement.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Vrazda coach let
P. Zamiška replace
L. Yläkorpi after 77 minutes.
L. Opava increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 8.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
L. Opava.
82 minutes into the game, Smilno seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
K. Mišiak received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 9. The Vrazda fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vrazda, with 82 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Smilno player was without a doubt
M. Greggio.
M. Kahánek on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Vrazda's best player was
O. Díez de Medina.
P. Zamiška was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 9.
