Krizsik left the field after 32 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was B. Drzyzga. A lovely run by VIP's K. Dubáň left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide. Attacking on the wings was the choice for VIP, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Pepe claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

The VIP players could smell victory in the air. P. Drinovský wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Lobo Filho after 46 minutes. J. Taxwell was followed by A. Beláustegui's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for VIP, the score now 3 - 1. Confident in their lead, VIP's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Content with how the game was proceeding, the VIP coach let H. Ghanei replace K. Dubáň after 64 minutes. S. Taxwell had a fantastic opportunity to put VIP up another goal 76 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Good work by the Pepe defensive line after 77 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found M. Seeland alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. VIP's S. Taxwell put in a disappointing effort on a penalty after 83 minutes, firing just wide of the goal. Possession in this half belonged to VIP, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

A. Lobo Filho performed admirably for VIP. However, G. Sugarotti made a disastrous appearance. Pepe's best player was K. Oxaas. B. Drzyzga was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
