(383861163)

04-08-2012 15.30
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 60278 that came out to
McChina-Lak.
Balionis Burškys was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Karst Laponder and
Jonas Yngvesson.
The derby had been the talk of
Budapest all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Cuppant started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Lineup: De Loreto - Tlumak, Gulli, Tillen, Plunkett - Cvijić, Perla, Isner, Kroh, Pennisi - Breton.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Hanyatt.
The following players took the field: Paljak - Budai, Thier, Giaccari - Sãvoiu, Sepsey, Cascino, Paéz, Menéndez - Vasile, Sekot.
The visiting
R. Vasile was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 22 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
No matter how hard he tried,
S. Breton just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 27 minutes.
After 30 minutes Cuppant's
A. Cvijić limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
L. Cascino after 37 minutes, and prevented Hanyatt from going up another goal.
As
H. Paéz had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Hanyatt player a red card without batting an eyelid.
Hanyatt's
R. Vasile refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 41 minutes.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Cuppant enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
With 46 minutes played, the Cuppant coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
M. Samm came on,
B. Gulli had to leave the fray.
What ever got into
V. Tlumak, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of Hanyatt's
R. Vasile, who easily put the ball away for 0 - 2 after 55 minutes.
The sun seemed to put
S. Breton in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
After 68 minutes,
S. Breton had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Cuppant with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar.
In the lead, Hanyatt adjusted their style of play with 69 minutes gone.
The coach of Hanyatt was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 69 minutes,
I. Magyar came on for
R. Vasile.
A. Cvijić tried to get a goal back for Cuppant but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move.
Cuppant's
A. Perla left the field after 86 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
P. Preysing.
M. Menéndez could have put his team up another goal 87 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
88 minutes in, Hanyatt's
L. Cascino received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Cuppant had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
Most important Cuppant player was
S. Breton.
On the other hand,
P. Preysing's play was disheartening.
Hanyatt's top performer was clearly
M. Menéndez.
G. Sãvoiu on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 2.
