previous 1/10 next 3/10  Fegyi 1 - 3 PNSK (383872296)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 43458 had shown up at Fegyi Katlan for the match. Denny Lander was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andrey Adamov and Bob Keehner. Fegyi started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Flender - Erőss, Kriszt, Diener, Varga - Szitás, Kvanduk, Lyka, Gyemendi - Budhiyanto, Szabó.

PNSK tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Lineup: McCauley - Viličić, Bush - 啟永 (Qiyong), Debreczi, Cano, Tóth, 崇霖 (Chonglin) - Svensson, Filgueiras, Huber.

Fegyi clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, J. Tóth got himself booked. The manager of PNSK was not happy. Making his way up the middle 26 minutes into the match, A. Budhiyanto almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert E. McCauley blocked it to keep the score level. A counterattack by Fegyi after 34 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but A. Budhiyanto, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. PNSK's P. Svensson gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 35 minutes with a superb strike from the right. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to PNSK, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

A drive down the left side allowed A. Huber to get in close and score another goal for PNSK after 47 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. Fegyi mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 54 minutes, but A. Szabó was unable to convert from short range. PNSK's 苏. 崇霖 (Chonglin) was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent. G. Gyemendi was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Fegyi's P. Kárász had to come off the bench. At 65 minutes into the game, Fegyi's S. Kvanduk deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. PNSK increased their lead after 69 minutes when T. Debreczi broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. The players of PNSK now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. PNSK claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Most important Fegyi player was M. Diener. However, G. Flender made a disastrous appearance. PNSK's best player was F. Filgueiras. A. Cano turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
