Kutaitis had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but O. Pesti was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. After 30 minutes, the defensive line of VBMV created a counterattack through the middle that gave R. Czabarka a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. With 32 minutes played, A. Kaczor of Őrség fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 34 minutes VBMV's Z. Gondár contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. A. Kaczor remonstrated furiously with the referee after Őrség had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch. The Őrség captaincy was handed to J. Szabó. VBMV's B. Ring was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 41 minutes. O. Pesti got a fingertip on M. Kutaitis's shot from the left 42 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by Z. Gondár rendered him his second booking of the match, and VBMV had to finish the game with a reduced squad. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Őrség had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

With 56 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Ciotti of Őrség to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. 73 minutes into the game, Őrség worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Good work by the VBMV defensive line after 74 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found F. Szarka alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. After 77 minutes, Őrség's I. Kiprich burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Őrség, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

The most dominating VBMV player was without a doubt A. Bánffy. On the other hand, O. Pesti's play was disheartening. Őrség's top performer was clearly J. Szabó. L. Bille turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
