Clear skies welcomed the 30041 spectators who had made their way to Stadio Olimpico. Bogdan Diaconescu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ole Möser and Arjen van der Hall. All of Budapest was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Studio tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. They fielded: Douma - Pereira Rodrigues, Serbousek, Martins Simões, Zirdziņš, Ariztondo - Setznagel, Sepp, Peper, Andersson - Pezzatini.

Studio clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Csékésbaba immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. 5 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. Davydov finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 8 minutes into the match. 23 minutes in, Studio's Z. Serbousek received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. L. De Baere of Csékésbaba had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. G. Bozsó came in to finish the match. 1 - 2 was the score with 27 minutes played, after K. Kozma cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Csékésbaba. K. Kozma came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over K. Douma but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Studio showed their counterattack skill 29 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with A. Peper scoring uncontested for 2 - 2. Some great play up the middle by Studio led to a chance for A. Peper to score after 33 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, A. Kollár was a hair's breadth away from giving Csékésbaba the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by K. Douma saved the home team that time. Halftime score was 2 - 2. Csékésbaba had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Csékésbaba's L. Peszeni could have put the guests one up after 49 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but K. Douma was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Csékésbaba's opponents know to be wary of B. Such's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 65 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! Studio made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left A. Peper completely alone with keeper R. Faieta, who made a spectacular block. 72 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Studio's Z. Serbousek received his second yellow card and was sent off. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Csékésbaba's B. Such after 76 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 2 - 3 lead. Studio's Ģ. Zirdziņš was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes. Csékésbaba enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Studio's top performer was clearly P. Pezzatini. S. Martins Simões was a disappointment, however. A. Kollár performed admirably for Csékésbaba. R. Faieta turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
