40970 spectators had come to Fehér Miklós Arena this cloudy day. Ronald Barnabas Gierse was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Claudio Beehler and Reinhard Gabriel. Punzmann the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Szabadhegy were forced into a substitution as S. Köteles couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing G. Gondo to come in off the bench. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Szabadhegy had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

After 49 minutes of play, G. Gondo equalised for Szabadhegy after an elegant attack from the right. Good work by the Savaria defensive line after 58 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found P. Konatowski alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Savaria mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 72 minutes, but P. Konatowski was unable to convert from short range. Possession in this half belonged to Szabadhegy, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Most important Szabadhegy player was F. Vadas. G. Gondo was a disappointment, however. Savaria's top performer was clearly A. Punzmann. A. Almeida turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
