Bástya had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 27 minutes, but V. Uhlir's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. C. Jaszczyk was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by V. Uhlir, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Bástya had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

After 70 minutes, the Bástya coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving C. Jaszczyk off the field. G. Trobo took his place. The Bástya captaincy was handed to W. Tellefsen. Bástya's F. Islamovas was shown a yellow card after 75 minutes for slicing down an opponent. M. Barbedo was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so FC.ATLETRIKÓ's K. Virtanen had to come off the bench. Thighs bulging, D. Antić charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 80 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, F. Islamovas struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. FC.ATLETRIKÓ needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 80 minutes V. Klee made way for S. Delahaye. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 83 minutes played, S. Delahaye of FC.ATLETRIKÓ made the score 1 - 1. Bástya's G. Ciarrocchi managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 88 minutes. 1 - 2. M. Zulueta was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. Bástya claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

The most dominating FC.ATLETRIKÓ player was without a doubt P. Themistokleous. K. Virtanen was a disappointment, however. Bástya's top performer was clearly F. Islamovas. Z. Lénárd on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
