Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 16790 to FU Arena. Valentinus Dösbaddel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zdeněk Janošík and Rijk Snoeij. Falusi decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Mészáros - Miskéri, Stoszek, Békés, Robbens - Macolino, Bang, Singleton, Cardino, Perotto - Blanco.

TTC tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Szczepaniuk - Mile, Zahedi, López, Siffredi, Stemate - Serfel, Berner, Pálinger, Feiferas - Montesarín.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Falusi. TTC used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. At 20 minutes played, J. Blanco came in from the right with the intention of giving Falusi the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, TTC had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. J. Mészáros looked great 25 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Á. Serfel. Coming in from the right, Falusi had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 26 minutes, but C. Cardino's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Slack defending gave Falusi a chance to take the lead with 33 minutes played, but P. Bang's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 41 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but A. Montesarín, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. TTC had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

During the break, TTC's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. P. Berner of TTC received a yellow card after 54 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by S. Macolino after 55 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Falusi takes the lead, 1 - 0! Falusi's A. Perotto had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 65 minutes having been played. Z. Urbányi was the replacement. The visitors' E. Feiferas was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 66 minutes. TTC's R. Siffredi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 76 minutes. With 77 minutes played, P. Békés of Falusi fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. A. Montesarín had a good opportunity to give TTC the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. When P. Békés made yet another studs-first tackle after 85 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Falusi player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. Falusi's B. Stoszek was shown a yellow card after 88 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Unfortunately for TTC, P. Berner was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. B. Vanczó replaced him. 89 minutes into the game, TTC seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. TTC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Most important Falusi player was S. Macolino. On the other hand, J. Mészáros's play was disheartening. TTC's best player was R. Pálinger. B. Stemate on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 1.
