Chupík, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. U. Schelza really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by L. Hansen after a corner. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by J. Holby after 36 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Dari takes the lead, 1 - 0! The VBSK free kick 38 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of E. Tiefenbach, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 1! 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Dari had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

A. Ferreira fired a shot from distance after 47 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Dari. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 62 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from L. Sarri, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Dari scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Ferreira after 68 minutes. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Dari's Y. Moers increasing the lead to 4 - 1. A. van de Moer had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper E. Sonsuz was simply unbeatable. Dari managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when P. de Hinojosa cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 87 minutes into the match, the speedy K. Andersen easily outpaced M. Matela, chipped the keeper and made the score 5 - 2. VBSK needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 88 minutes U. Schelza made way for Á. Cseke. The bench was restless, and with 88 minutes passed VBSK's coach gave A. Patrik the opportunity the player had been hoping for. N. Figueiredo reluctantly left the field. With 88 minutes played, P. de Hinojosa of Dari fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
