Elmer were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 33 minutes into the match, but H. Hankanen narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. 35 minutes into the game, G. Liptói had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Figueroa. W. Kompalka, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. Kentaur's M. Fedai found himself alone on the left side 40 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! The home crowd was not impressed when H. Hankanen came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 41 minutes. Elmer were now up 0 - 3. By now, the players in Elmer felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Kentaur, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the match, M. Pierlé came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Thighs bulging, A. Eklund charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. The home team's supporters got excited again when Á. Anunciação broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 3. 74 minutes into the match, the speedy T. Fecsku easily outpaced H. Vogt, chipped the keeper and made the score 1 - 4. Kentaur reduced the lead to 2 - 4 with 79 minutes on the clock when C. Kopacki got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Kentaur enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Kentaur's top performer was clearly Á. Anunciação. J. D'Errico on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Elmer player was T. Fecsku. However, A. Roslöf made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 4.
