Underestimation of the opposition made fotateam players perform way below their normal capacity. Blitzers clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. F. Straver of Blitzers was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The visiting T. Paleń was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 12 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Blitzers's F. Aguado Renedo made a successful breakthrough on the left after 14 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. Some fine movement on the left led to a fotateam goal after 21 minutes, making it 0 - 2. G. Magyar was noted down as the scorer. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. fotateam claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

51 minutes into the game Blitzers broke through on the left wing and C. Veszelka managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2. Blitzers players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The bench was restless, and with 65 minutes passed Blitzers's coach gave L. Enríquez de Anaya the opportunity the player had been hoping for. F. Biot reluctantly left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, H. Bródy took over the role of being the Blitzers captain. With 65 minutes played, the Blitzers coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. K. Birkmayer came on, G. Sapone had to leave the fray. After 65 minutes, Blitzers switched R. Chatterjee with P. Slović, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. After 72 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave D. Farchi a chance to increase the lead for fotateam, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. Blitzers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Most important Blitzers player was H. Bródy. P. Rosa turned in a dismal performance, however. fotateam's best player was T. Paleń. D. Hägerland was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
