previous 2/10 next 4/10  Dangerfc 1 - 5 Esco Fc (383926404)

Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at Dangerfc a little nervous, but the rain held off. Anders Andersson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Philip Mundine and Mousa Sleiman Musa. Dangerfc had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Karasungur - Stoianovici, Balavoine, Cesar, Bosvelt - Alvarado, Cousino, Négro, Marhani - Chardon, Wilcke.

Esco Fc started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Maraspin - Herkströter, Hakulinen, Lavelli, Grime - Adamcsik, Hernández, Vázquez Chavarri, Ruiz-Berriz - Unquera, Immig.

For their match strategy, Dangerfc had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Esco Fc took a creative approach on the field. 5 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but V. Immig, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. Dangerfc mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 6 minutes, but S. Chardon was unable to convert from short range. K. Marhani has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 10 minutes into the match. After 20 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Esco Fc found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. Esco Fc's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 36 minutes gone, but G. Hernández's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 37 minutes into the game, Esco Fc seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. An accurate cross from C. Adamcsik of Esco Fc was met with a wonderful glancing header from R. Ruiz-Berriz, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 0 - 1. 42 minutes in, Dangerfc's A. Stoianovici received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Esco Fc were forced into a substitution as G. Hernández couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing M. Boiu to come in off the bench. 43 minutes into the game, Esco Fc seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Some fine movement on the left led to a Esco Fc goal after 44 minutes, making it 0 - 2. G. Herkströter was noted down as the scorer. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Esco Fc enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped Esco Fc get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. R. Ruiz-Berriz left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 61 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. S. Hricko was the replacement. 67 minutes into the game, Esco Fc worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Esco Fc increased their lead after 71 minutes when P. Vázquez Chavarri broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 74 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Dangerfc on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by A. Stoianovici to make it 1 - 3. C. Adamcsik sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from V. Immig after 75 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 4. By now, the players in Esco Fc felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home crowd cheered when, after 80 minutes, S. Hricko's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 83 minutes into the game, Esco Fc had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. The referee signalled a penalty 84 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. V. Immig knocked it home to make the score 1 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Esco Fc, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Most important Dangerfc player was C. Négro. R. Alvarado was a disappointment, however. V. Immig performed admirably for Esco Fc. M. Boiu turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
