22917 fans braved the pouring rain at SZALON FC MECSEK Arena. Javier Sola was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Matīss Cintiņš and Eero Hukka. SZALON used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Partycápa mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. SZALON took the lead 30 minutes in, as T. Klampfer broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Casadeval broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to SZALON. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. de Granada got himself booked. The manager of Partycápa was not happy. Things were deteriorating for the away team as SZALON scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for D. Országh after 39 minutes. SZALON's M. Casadeval got himself booked for a foul. M. de Granada of Partycápa seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by K. Eberl. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Bödör squirmed through their central defence after 43 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. The players of SZALON now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The referee showed Partycápa's K. Eberl the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. B. Jakupcsek should probably have put his team up another goal after 44 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by B. Grela kept the visitors in the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to SZALON, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

SZALON's R. Szentannai was shown a yellow card after 67 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The coach of SZALON was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, G. Gálvölgyi came on for T. Klampfer. Content with how the game was proceeding, the SZALON coach let T. Kun replace B. Jakupcsek after 70 minutes. K. Tömisevä struck a 30 metre free kick home 73 minutes into the match. 5 - 1 for the home team. SZALON players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 75 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by J. Bödör might have resulted in another goal for SZALON. However, B. Grela made a spectacular save. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like T. Fülöp. J. Bödör could have increased the lead after 79 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. SZALON put in a good effort on the right, but D. Országh saw his volley fly wide of the mark 82 minutes into the game. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SZALON, with 69 percent of the ball.

J. Mäntyniemi performed admirably for SZALON. On the other hand, M. Brunet's play was disheartening. Partycápa's top performer was clearly H. Brinks. T. Fülöp was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
