Van Hese gave Pearces the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why A. Guiral found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. With 31 minutes played, Pearces put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to F. Van Hese, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. G. Polo should probably have put his team up another goal after 34 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by F. Fatturo kept the visitors in the game. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Pearces, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Pearces's B. Balawender increasing the lead to 3 - 0. G. Brunoro left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 63 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Onuškevičius was the replacement. Pearces were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 71 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving A. Adolfsson completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. Pearces solidified their lead at the 72 minute mark, as G. Polo dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. Pearces's D. Cruz left the field after 76 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was V. Ljeljak. The Pearces captaincy was handed to V. Ljeljak. The Pearces free kick 84 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of J. Onuškevičius, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 0! Confident in their lead, Pearces's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Pearces increased the lead as M. Bálint struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Pepperoni fought on and, after 87 minutes, M. Tienforti was able to reduce the deficit to 6 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Pearces had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Pearces player was without a doubt M. Bálint. However, V. Ljeljak made a disastrous appearance. Most important Pepperoni player was A. Adolfsson. J. Schupbach turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
