It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 35356 that came out to
橡树海滩地毯清洁和体育场.
Leo Rheinsberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan Gatti and
Sven Sandager.
Ikke. decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Trumpauskas - Caniceiro, Pârvu, Luco - Jia Chang, Bruvik, Frisgaard, Johansen, Wagner - Gerdgård, Osorio Burgos.
Geiriljas tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Kallevik - Serigstad, Abbas, Halvorsen - Solbakken, Johnsrud, Schrewelius, Jansen, Kapstad - Wüllerstorff, Andersen.
Some great play up the middle by Ikke. led to a chance for
L. Jia Chang to score after 22 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
Ikke. had to make a substitution after 33 minutes.
J. Luco limped off the field and was replaced by
A. Egge.
With 34 minutes played
A. Johansen almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
35 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Ikke. to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
C. Pârvu alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
Ikke. had a chance to take the lead after
L. Jia Chang's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 36 minutes.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Geiriljas, with 53 percent of the ball.
After 46 minutes, the Geiriljas coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach.
L. Jia Chang wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat.
Ikke. were very close to putting themselves one up after 50 minutes as
M. Osorio Burgos got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Geiriljas's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 51 minutes gone, but
J. Solbakken's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 56 minutes into the match, and
G. Johnsrud wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
The Geiriljas players could smell victory in the air.
H. Abbas wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
G. Solheim after 65 minutes.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Geiriljas coach let
S. Gervasutti replace
L. Wüllerstorff after 75 minutes.
J. Solbakken left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 76 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
M. Mikkelsen was the replacement.
After 76 minutes of play,
E. Bruvik equalised for Ikke. after an elegant attack from the right.
After 78 minutes,
K. Gerdgård came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Ikke. the lead.
The home side's
A. Egge came close to extending the lead 82 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
S. Kallevik managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Geiriljas had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.
Most important Ikke. player was
V. Trumpauskas.
A. Egge turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Geiriljas player was without a doubt
O. Andersen.
However,
M. Mikkelsen made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 1.
