The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 37542 had shown up at Carina BK Arena for the match. Vedran Gulan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Massimo Guey and Luud Geut. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Brutalspark's J. Rúnarsson after 11 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. The referee showed Brutalspark's R. Jonišs the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Carina's Ø. Sørensen put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 16 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. After a fine move down the middle S. Gütersloh nearly gave the home side a goal after 19 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Carina had a good opportunity to take the lead as K. Overvik came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of S. Campagnuolo. Carina took the lead after 29 minutes as a result of R. Caçador's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Carina enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Coming from the right, S. Gütersloh almost managed to score another goal for Carina, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Brutalspark's right side looked dangerous 66 minutes in, but K. Skatchenko made a good save on R. Jonišs's hard shot to the top corner. Coming through the middle R. Ligne almost scored the equaliser for Brutalspark after 68 minutes, but K. Skatchenko made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. Carina's Ø. Sørensen increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 79 minutes. K. Overvik could have increased the lead after 86 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Carina claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Carina's best player was S. Gütersloh. On the other hand, L. Johnsen's play was disheartening. R. Ligne performed admirably for Brutalspark. D. Posadas turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
