The 39608 spectators at
Fevik Stadion were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Kálmán Csiszár was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Eric Candraja and
Klas Andersson.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Express.
Lineup: Savander - Gambelli, Bredesen - Sinnott, Nygaard, Ruud, Øverby, Kalk - Martinsen, Toft Nielsen, Mathiesen.
Lsand2sb tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Iribarren - Arnal, Yerlitaş, Bochenek, Alam, Górnicz - Vivoda, Cedermo, Atar - Eban, Yaacov.
For their match strategy, Lsand2sb had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Express took the lead 2 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
P. Nygaard elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
With 3 minutes played, Express put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
P. Nygaard, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
14 minutes into the game, Lsand2sb seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
V. Eban found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
A. Ruud had a fantastic opportunity to put Express up another goal 37 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Coming from the right,
C. Sinnott almost managed to score another goal for Express, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
A foul called during a Lsand2sb counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but
S. Arnal's shot rattled off the post.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
T. Martinsen squirmed through their central defence after 42 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
The Express players could smell victory in the air.
T. Mathiesen wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
V. Ringenberg after 42 minutes.
Halftime score was 3 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Express, with 77 percent of the ball.
During the break, Lsand2sb's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
68 minutes into the game,
H. Savander had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
R. Palmieri.
Express increased the lead as
C. Toft Nielsen struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
79 minutes in, Express's
C. Sinnott received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
S. Arnal of Lsand2sb was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
It wasn't a good day at all for
P. Nygaard. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
Express's
T. Martinsen increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 86 minutes.
After this, you could see that the players of Express were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Possession in this half belonged to Express, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.
C. Toft Nielsen performed admirably for Express.
R. Palmieri turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Lsand2sb player was without a doubt
V. Eban.
W. Bochenek was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
