Grünerløkka showed off their creative tactics. Leif mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 15 minutes, C. Pineda came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Grünerløkka the lead. The goal for 1 - 1 was a funny story: after 18 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from Leif's R. Enger landed at the feet of J. Fuglerud who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! They were singing the praises of A. Louter 24 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Grünerløkka. After 26 minutes, speedy E. Mocanu dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, X. Garnier failed to score. Leif had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 27 minutes, T. Møller Hansen broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. V. Bjerkrem made a great block, though. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Giambertone squirmed through their central defence after 34 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1. Grünerløkka claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grünerløkka to 4 - 1 as E. Mocanu finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 56 minutes played, Grünerløkka's K. Mikkelsen almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. C. Pineda increased the lead for Grünerløkka to 5 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grünerløkka lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 65 minutes, Leif switched S. Weise with A. Heggheim, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Á. Tábuas was the new captain of Leif - handed the armband by the departing player. The unexpected cross pass from Grünerløkka's B. Bertelsen after 75 minutes opened up the defence and was received by C. Pineda who finished off for 6 - 1. By then C. Pineda had scored three goals - a hat trick! 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as X. Garnier broke through, making the score 7 - 1 for Grünerløkka. Leif kept trying to force their way through on the right side and J. Fuglerud got his chance after 80 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. Grünerløkka enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

Most important Grünerløkka player was C. Pineda. J. Čeglec on the other hand, had a terrible day. Leif's best player was J. Fuglerud. B. Ringstad was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
