Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 51436 to Gresstusten. Donners had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Bakke - Castro, Vanakool, Pricopi - Tsavelas, Hageland, Eilsø, Eilsø, Lund - Herdle, Hayashi.

Boldcluben decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Watt - Salomonsen, Schoop, Dahl - Sörensson, Nielsen, Nes, Næs, Lennartsson - Costa Macedo, Blæsild.

The wings were the focus of most of Donners's attacks today. Boldcluben clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. 0 - 1 was the score with 19 minutes played, after J. Nielsen cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Boldcluben. Ø. Salomonsen increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Donners's S. Eilsø found himself alone on the left side 22 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! The referee showed Donners's M. Lund the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Donners were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. A marvellous Donners effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 39 minutes by F. Herdle, making the score 1 - 2. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Donners, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. F. Herdle was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Donners with a strike from the left, but G. Watt managed to ward the shot off for a corner. Donners's R. Hayashi was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 43 minutes Donners's S. Eilsø had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. F. Bakker came in to replace him. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Donners, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

After 59 minutes of play, M. Lund equalised for Donners after an elegant attack from the right. A. Tsavelas was very close to giving Donners the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 62 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar. 76 minutes in, Donners's A. Vanakool received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Unfortunately for Boldcluben, U. Sörensson was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. K. Kirknes replaced him. Donners could have put themselves ahead after 80 minutes but F. Bakker missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Donners claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

R. Hayashi performed admirably for Donners. On the other hand, M. Lund's play was disheartening. Boldcluben's top performer was clearly T. Blæsild. K. Kirknes on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 2.
