25-08-2012 16.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 29143 to
Rotvoll kickers Arena.
Paolo Venturato was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paolo Dessi' and
Juho Verhelä.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Trondheim derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Rotvoll had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Lineup: Dołowy - Bakken, Pinxteren - Rogne, Aarstad, Düring, Einarsen, Eeg - van Dinteren, Vikesland, Mjøen.
FCK started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Pettersen - Danielsen, Jørgensen, Jørgensen, Nilsen - Håkonsen, Koch, Figenschau, Sverdrup - Roland, Bjerck.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for FCK.
Rotvoll had a good opportunity to take the lead as
T. Eeg came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
H. Pettersen.
After 7 minutes,
D. van Dinteren came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Rotvoll the lead.
B. Vikesland should probably have put his team up another goal after 9 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
H. Pettersen kept the visitors in the game.
FCK almost scored after a swift counterattack 10 minutes into the game, but
B. Danielsen put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal.
22 minutes in, FCK's
D. Koch received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Rotvoll enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
57 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
J. Pinxteren broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Rotvoll.
After 60 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
D. van Dinteren gave the Rotvoll supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
FCK's
S. Håkonsen got himself booked for a foul.
Ater 67 minutes
D. Koch seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for FCK making it 3 - 1.
J. Pinxteren always provides an aerial threat at corners, and with 76 minutes gone, he demonstrated this, outjumping his marker, then letting out an anguished howl as his powerful header went narrowly wide.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rotvoll, with 57 percent of the ball.
Rotvoll's top performer was clearly
B. Vikesland.
E. Dołowy was a disappointment, however.
Most important FCK player was
J. Figenschau.
However,
O. Jørgensen made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 1.
