Wael just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 23 minutes. It was 0 - 1 at the break. HMG enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

The heat made it a terrible day for T. Thomassen, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. After 49 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed C. Håkansson to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. HMG's A. Huseby had a nice free kick routine after 67 minutes that was very close to paying off, had it not been for a dramatic save by the visitors' keeper. Cowboys had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 68 minutes, but G. Hove's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. HMG's J. Zwolle got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Nyen from HMG a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A. Huseby was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for HMG with a strike from the left, but A. Únzaga de la Vega managed to ward the shot off for a corner. Possession in this half belonged to HMG, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
