Dark skies made the crowd of 33084 at Magic Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Jordan Ryba was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marc Gelabert and Ralph Putz. Mighty FC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Sáenz Ruiz - Berg, Rohden, Draška - Macoveţchi, Zrnić, Bittinger, Gualdi, Noval - Rendón, Valério.

United had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Genot - Podda, Sokół, Başak, Bergersen, Rønning - Cerrón, Vuorimäki, Chiossi - Ursin, Marella.

Mighty FC demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. United clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Down the middle came L. Podda, making a fantastic play that nearly had United take the lead after 7 minutes, but J. Sáenz Ruiz preserved the tie. 21 minutes in, the referee awarded Mighty FC a penalty. J. Valério coolly slotted it home for a 1 - 0 lead. After 22 minutes, N. Rendón put Mighty FC ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Mighty FC lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Mighty FC's N. Rendón had an excellent opportunity after 38 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! With 39 minutes played, A. Berg of Mighty FC fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Mighty FC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Mighty FC's J. Valério somehow missed a penalty 50 minutes into the match, much to the crowd's displeasure. A. Berg of Mighty FC got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. S. Bergersen looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for United, the ball went just barely wide. Z. Macoveţchi increased the lead for Mighty FC to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! After 89 minutes Mighty FC's J. Sáenz Ruiz limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. P. Noval of Mighty FC was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Mighty FC had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

Mighty FC's best player was Z. Macoveţchi. On the other hand, L. Zrnić's play was disheartening. United's top performer was clearly L. Podda. P. Cerrón turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
