R. Pisalski caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 49 minutes. This gave Higgins the 1 - 0 lead. The visiting team's G. Bäckkvist was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 52 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 72 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from R. Pisalski, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Ridderene tied it all up, 79 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by A. Eriksen, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. With 80 minutes played, C. Pruett of Higgins fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Possession in this half belonged to Higgins, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Higgins's top performer was clearly L. Rimml. T. Jensen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Ridderene player was without a doubt K. Rønning. J. Andreassen was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
