It had rained all day, but 34680 hardy fans still made it out to Stavland Stadion. Antti Rautajärvi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mate Pajdek and Olavi Runnel. Stavland started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Minge - Oftedal, Holmen, Sønsterud, Marjanen - Rolandsen, Mathiassen, Taipale, Golia - Bergli, Podvršič.

Breisås had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Olori - Catalano, Bautzen, Kločāns - Bragstad Mathisen, Eş, Knutsen, Syversen - Rasmussen, Kocsis, van Hest.

Breisås clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Breisås's K. Knutsen refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 10 minutes. Stavland fans held their breath as S. Marjanen scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! After 23 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by D. Podvršič might have resulted in another goal for Stavland. However, N. Olori made a spectacular save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Bragstad Mathisen from Breisås a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 32 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! O. Rolandsen increased the lead for Stavland to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but S. van Hest showed great heart and had a good game. With 40 minutes played, V. Sønsterud could have brought this one home for Stavland as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Stavland enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 69 minutes, Stavland did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, S. Holmen was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Stavland's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 73 minutes, D. Podvršič put Stavland ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 80 minutes played, Stavland put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to S. Holmen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. O. Taipale seemed to be huffing and puffing 81 minutes into the match. A. Eş of Breisås took advantage of his obvious fatigue to chip in past the keeper. 5 - 1 Possession in this half belonged to Stavland, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

D. Podvršič performed admirably for Stavland. O. Taipale was a disappointment, however. Most important Breisås player was S. van Hest. T. Bragstad Mathisen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
