previous 2/4 next 4/4  Liverpool 0 - 5 Vinilester (384130077)

11336 spectators arrived at Anfield road, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Jens-Ulf Hume was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Driek Schut and Roberto Ambrogetti. Liverpool tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Starters: Karaaslan - Løvli, Sæle, Lauritsen, Jansen - Rasmussen, Kalstad, Baldassarri, Vonk, Tonheim - Langemyr.

Vinilester had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Dürrnagel - Sveen, Mirag, Alexandersson - Nikkinen, Martínez Blas, Montes, Nordheim - Zakonjšek, Ponce, Frossard.

Liverpool clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Today, Vinilester's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Vinilester's E. Nordheim gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 4 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Liverpool's H. Løvli got himself booked for a foul. After 26 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Zakonjšek to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Liverpool's E. Vonk was shown a yellow card after 35 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Some things can only be learned through experience, and N. Lauritsen should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Vinilester a goal with 39 minutes of the match played. The home crowd was not impressed when L. Zakonjšek came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 40 minutes. Vinilester were now up 0 - 3. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Liverpool had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

A drive down the left side allowed J. Frossard to get in close and score another goal for Vinilester after 74 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Vinilester lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Liverpool's K. Sæle found himself alone on the left side 82 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! With 86 minutes played, Vinilester's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to J. Frossard he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 5. The referee showed Vinilester's V. Nikkinen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Liverpool, with 55 percent of the ball.

Liverpool's top performer was clearly E. Vonk. T. Kalstad turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Vinilester player was without a doubt B. Ponce. However, A. Dürrnagel made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 5.
