12000 fans braved the pouring rain at Erlends Arena. Gaétan Oliveira was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nuno Salvador and Tore Sagen. Erlends decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Karlsen - Hattestad, Vollen, Martinsen, Veland - Myrene, Vetrhus, Nybø, Jordal - Sundlisæter, Stokken.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Andvig. They fielded: Kaspersen - Sollien, Karoliussen, Aasheim, Bråthen - Mæle, Lindseth, Haga, Haug - Fjelde, Berg.

After some beautiful movement down the left wing, L. Sundlisæter scored for Erlends putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 7 minutes. Erlends's T. Hattestad struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 2 - 0 after 16 minutes. R. Haga behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 18 minutes as he gave the ball away to D. Vetrhus. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The guests got an opportunity to reduce after 20 minutes and T. Sollien took it from the penalty spot, scoring easily for 2 - 1. H. Jordal slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. The home team will be cursing T. Sollien for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 2 - 2 after 26 minutes. Andvig's U. Fjelde's long shot really ought to have found the net 38 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. F. Furre was called on to replace Andvig's J. Haug after 39 minutes following a nasty collision. Making his way up the middle 41 minutes into the match, L. Sundlisæter almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert K. Kaspersen blocked it to keep the score level. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Andvig, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

R. Karlsen looked great 58 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' U. Fjelde. Andvig took the lead after 63 minutes making the score 2 - 3. U. Fjelde placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Erlends's L. Sundlisæter finished emphatically to make the score 3 -3 after 64 minutes, after the enigmatic B. Vollen pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. With 76 minutes played, R. Nybø of Erlends fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Andvig's U. Fjelde gave the visitors a 3 - 4 lead after 77 minutes with a superb strike from the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Vetrhus from Erlends a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 81 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed U. Fjelde to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 3 - 5. By then U. Fjelde had scored three goals - a hat trick! Andvig had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating Erlends player was without a doubt A. Stokken. However, R. Karlsen made a disastrous appearance. Andvig's top performer was clearly R. Haga. On the other hand, A. Karoliussen's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 5.
