A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Guichinga to 2 - 0 as R. Jarre finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Guichinga's R. Anwer was shown a yellow card after 37 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Guichinga enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

During the break, Zankenhausen's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Guichinga scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for R. Jarre after 50 minutes. With 57 minutes played, Guichinga put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to O. Limanowski, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Zankenhausen's E. Teolato had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 78 minutes having been played. F. Giroletti was the replacement. Guichinga's K. Friedrichsthal had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded and, after a change of plan, sent the ball to B. Rumpelstilzchen who somehow managed to curl the ball wide. 81 minutes into the game, Å. Helveg had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came G. Giossi. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. O. Limanowski squirmed through their central defence after 82 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Confident in their lead, Guichinga's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
