previous 10/10 next 2/10  Teltic 3 - 1 Reinmann (384283618)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and 0815 saw a crowd turnout of 47832. Gerhard Turan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rupert Michiels and Gregors Duburs. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Berlin derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Teltic had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Jorge - Beitien, Jenisch, Afkaat - Zehetmeyer, Petrich, Plößneck, Ortmeier, Duvskog - Prier, Martínez Lozano.

Reinmann tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players took the field: Schotten - Brey, Lilienthal - Werndle, Händeler, Schleifmühle, Hidien, Tietze - Perronace, Halfter, Kobl.

After 2 minutes of play, J. Prier gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. C. Zehetmeyer of Teltic received a yellow card after 16 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Teltic put themselves up 2 - 0 when J. Petrich broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Reinmann enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Coming in on the left, U. Perronace did everything right to get a goal for Reinmann after 55 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. One of many good crosses from C. Zehetmeyer on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by R. Martínez Lozano, who scored for Teltic. 3 - 0 The swift technical skills of C. Zehetmeyer were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow H. Brey who was humiliated after 78 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. Reinmann's U. Perronace got himself booked for a foul. A bit later, Reinmann's M. Händeler easily reduced the lead to 3 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Possession in this half belonged to Reinmann, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Teltic's top performer was clearly V. Jenisch. N. Duvskog turned in a dismal performance, however. Reinmann's best player was W. Halfter. R. Lilienthal was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
