A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for beverlys.

B. Brynildsen had a good try after 25 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
They were singing the praises of
I. Grahn 27 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to beverlys.
I. Grahn slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.

B. Brynildsen almost scored the equaliser for Dornstedt after 31 minutes, but
T. Laev made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
V. Bunea squirmed through their central defence after 32 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.

G. Tkacz seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Dornstedt making it 2 - 1.

B. Brynildsen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
D. Corvin had a fantastic opportunity to put beverlys up another goal 38 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
It was 2 - 1 at the break.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
beverlys solidified their lead at the 49 minute mark, as
I. Grahn dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1.
B. Brynildsen was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
A well-executed free kick by
L. Oviedo Díaz after 68 minutes made it 4 - 1 for beverlys.
74 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
W. Dyjas anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 4 - 2.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 77 minutes, Dornstedt did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
S. Nielen was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 4 - 3.
Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
Most important beverlys player was
P. Moncau.
W. Willim on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Dornstedt's top performer was clearly
B. Brynildsen.
G. Tkacz turned in a dismal performance, however.
