Alemannia 1 - 4 Tote (384338497)

It had rained all day, but 18977 hardy fans still made it out to Bavaria Stadion. Emil Nachmias was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ethan Colville and Ramiro Hetz. Alemannia tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Satrup - Pahl, Römhild, Heese - Pascali, Jänsch, Kneissl, Pyrkosch, Gerstenfeld - Stier, Boccadamo.

Tote had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Martínez - Berbeglia, Liénard, Zimpaglione - Polachowski, Dobbeler, Dukel, Waleveld - Czerkowski, Guérin, Kielczyk.

Tote clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Alemannia were very close to putting themselves one up after 12 minutes as M. Boccadamo got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. They were singing the praises of G. Stier 22 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Alemannia. 25 minutes into the game Tote's S. Dukel found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Tote played a good counterattacking move down the left 30 minutes into the match, with D. Kielczyk finishing well for 1 - 2. It was a bad day for the usually speedy J. Pahl. The mud seemed to slow him down. M. Boccadamo was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Alemannia with a strike from the left, but T. Martínez managed to ward the shot off for a corner. Alemannia's F. Pascali got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for Tote, P. Guérin was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. G. Monteverde replaced him. G. Stier of Alemannia was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Alemannia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

Tote were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 56 minutes, A. Czerkowski swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 3. Tote had to manage with a reduced squad after 66 minutes, as A. Liénard got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. A. Czerkowski stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Tote the goal to make it 1 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of Tote were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Alemannia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

Alemannia's best player was E. Pyrkosch. However, J. Pahl made a disastrous appearance. Most important Tote player was A. Czerkowski. G. Monteverde was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
