The players of Oberhausen now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper
K. Ebersgöns and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Hoyerswerda, but
R. Dautović's finish was way too lame.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3.

P. Maia Cruz but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.

A. Madaula in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
With 73 minutes played,
R. Dautović was very close to reducing the score for Hoyerswerda with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner.

Hoyerswerda's best player was
Z. Harkai.
V. Brette was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Oberhausen player was without a doubt
B. Risgård.
On the other hand,
D. Terhaag's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 4.
