Zitzewitz made a spectacular save. The Oberhausen free kick 38 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of R. Hofmair, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 0! Ater 39 minutes J. Galanti seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Schapen making it 2 - 1. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Pahlke could have brought this one home for Oberhausen as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Schapen's counterattacks created a good chance for D. Brasser on the right after 75 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, P.
