The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 28718 had shown up at FC Pflug Berlin Arena for the match. Puente tried to get a goal back for Berlin but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. I. Birkavs came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over D. Hilsenbeck but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from D. Simaverti after 35 minutes, and prevented Discordia from going up another goal. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Berlin, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

D. Munker almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper E. Elijzen and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Berlin, but P. Siukkola's finish was way too lame. The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed Berlin's coach gave F. Ardea the opportunity the player had been hoping for. G. van der Weijde reluctantly left the field. F. Ardea became the new Berlin captain. The Discordia players could smell victory in the air. S. Wollesen wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for T. Bergler after 65 minutes. Berlin needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes M. Christensen made way for A. Louvel. With 70 minutes played, the Berlin coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. A. Schirripa came on, R. Brasiler had to leave the fray. The referee showed Discordia's F. Gagony-Kolowrath the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Berlin's A. Louvel had to leave the pitch and there were no more available substitutions! The coach of Discordia was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 88 minutes, M. Gruber came on for R. Karl. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Berlin, with 64 percent of the ball.
