The 21144 spectators at Drachenhort were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Alf Lindhhall was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Friedrich Fischer and Agus Simon. Turbine took the lead 17 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as L. Dvorak elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. R. Harthum of Turbine was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Turbine's D. Anđelinić increasing the lead to 2 - 0. J. Glitza's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. D. Anđelinić could have put Turbine up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 38 minutes. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Turbine claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

J. Glitza dispatched a majestic long shot 67 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. M. Dyankov didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. With 76 minutes played, D. Anđelinić could have brought this one home for Turbine as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. With 82 minutes played, Turbine put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to E. Wunderwald, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The head of R. Harthum connected with a corner kick after 84 minutes, and the ball ended up with E. Schmiedl of Turbine who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 4 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Turbine lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Turbine to 5 - 0 as A. Kerschbaumer finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. After 87 minutes, D. Anđelinić put Turbine ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Possession in this half belonged to Turbine, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

The most dominating Turbine player was without a doubt D. Anđelinić. P. Wolfsschlucht turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Templer player was M. Schächterle. W. Korb on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 0.
