Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 20000 to ADF Kuppel. Enzo Mottarda was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sammy Ridenour and Robert Mal. ADF had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players took the field: Uhse - Steingraf, Bikácsy, Tanski, Klinsmann, Kefer - Marien, Jaakonmäki, O'Sullivan - Stolpp, Rehberg.

Kamuffel started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Katzemeyer - De Fraeye, Franz, Jarić - Čudić, Olmedo Ayuso, Rouault, Welkertswiesen, Meulemans - Nechifor, De Oliveira.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for ADF. 14 minutes into the game, E. Olmedo Ayuso almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Down the middle came B. De Oliveira, making a fantastic play that nearly had Kamuffel take the lead after 17 minutes, but P. Uhse preserved the tie. ADF's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 18 minutes gone, but X. Marien's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. ADF's H. Stolpp had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 32 minutes having been played. U. Frucht was the replacement. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Klinsmann from ADF a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 35 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 36 minutes, Kamuffel put themselves up 0 - 1, as W. Meulemans finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Kamuffel had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

60 minutes into the match, W. Meulemans came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. ADF almost scored after a swift counterattack 61 minutes into the game, but L. Rehberg put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 76 minutes into the game, L. Klinsmann had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came T. Topp. After 81 minutes of game time, I. Čudić had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but P. Uhse was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. After 82 minutes, the defensive line of ADF created a counterattack through the middle that gave X. Marien a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. U. Frucht of ADF received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With 87 minutes played, D. Nechifor nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Kamuffel's E. Olmedo Ayuso was shown a yellow card after 88 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in this half belonged to Kamuffel, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

F. Steingraf performed admirably for ADF. On the other hand, L. Rehberg's play was disheartening. The most dominating Kamuffel player was without a doubt B. De Oliveira. N. De Fraeye turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
