Due to an all-day shower, 26158 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Green White Stadion. Lambertus van Otterlo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sander Huisman and Damian Okrasiński. Eversten decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Eversten clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. PHOSiON clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. 27 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Eversten to take the lead after a good cross from the right found W. Schickmyar alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. J. Polach received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 35 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. E. Bramfeld, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. Eversten's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 43 minutes gone, but W. Schickmyar's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by PHOSiON, with 53 percent of the ball.

Eversten broke through on the left 49 minutes into the game, with T. Löffler firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. E. Lorenzi of PHOSiON received a yellow card after 52 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. PHOSiON had a chance to level the score as M. den Hollander suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 61 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but A. Magnaterra got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Eversten were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 71 minutes, R. Elmose swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 2 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Eversten lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Eversten to 3 - 0 as R. Elmose finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the PHOSiON manager used a brief break in play after 82 minutes to give the players new directives. The PHOSiON coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. PHOSiON had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

T. Figueiredo Cardoso performed admirably for Eversten. However, E. Paraska made a disastrous appearance. PHOSiON's best player was F. Roudnický. A. Magnaterra on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
