Renda 6 - 0 Knochenpolizei
(384405803)

14-07-2012 18.30
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 22273 had shown up at
Stadion am Dorfpark for the match.
Anton Lazãr was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Emilio Deyna and
Lucio Casu.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Renda.
They fielded: Huß - Dösbaddel, Werdohl - Derschatta, Rettig, Liebenau, Unwerdt, Althen - Lebelt, Schippler, Sonzin.
Knochenpolizei had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Ashkenazi - Vorraber, Stempfle, Janda - Kretsch, Schmeer, Engin, Leggieri, von Thülen - Ciceri, Grell.
Against a lesser team, Renda could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 28 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
Down the middle came
M. Janda, making a fantastic play that nearly had Knochenpolizei take the lead after 33 minutes, but
R. Huß preserved the tie.
Renda took the lead after 39 minutes as a result of
A. Rettig's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0.
S. von Thülen looked to be heading one way when he unexpectedly passed the ball to
S. Kretsch. The move caught everyone off-guard, including his teammate, who panicked and kicked the ball out of play by accident.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Renda scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Lebelt after 43 minutes.
Knochenpolizei's
Y. Engin got himself booked for a foul.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Renda enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Renda increased the lead as
L. Schippler struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Renda managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when
B. Althen cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
M. Leggieri had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
R. Huß was simply unbeatable.
With 80 minutes played, Renda put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
F. Sonzin, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Renda lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Renda put in a good effort on the right, but
L. Schippler saw his volley fly wide of the mark 84 minutes into the game.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Renda to 6 - 0 as
F. Sonzin finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Renda claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Renda's top performer was clearly
G. Liebenau.
F. Derschatta was a disappointment, however.
G. Ciceri performed admirably for Knochenpolizei.
Y. Engin on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 6 - 0.
