Blau-Weiss were relying on their ability to counter-attack. 2 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Dynamo was C. Waterstraat. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Dynamo's X. Serrano somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for M. Triglia, who struck for 2 - 0. Dynamo solidified their lead at the 33 minute mark, as R. Travato dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. Dynamo's F. Cisneros had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 37 minutes having been played. G. Kyhlin was the replacement. After 43 minutes, Blau-Weiss sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached J. Magaña, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Dynamo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

After 61 minutes Dynamo's E. Martin limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. With 65 minutes played, Dynamo put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Triglia, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After this, you could see that the players of Dynamo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. W. Zierold didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Blau-Weiss fought on and, after 75 minutes, R. Norjos was able to reduce the deficit to 4 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. A quick counter attack by Blau-Weiss forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. P. Costabile was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 4 - 3! R. Travato left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 81 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. Schafbrücke was the replacement. Blau-Weiss's A. Perepelitsa was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in this half belonged to Dynamo, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

W. Zierold performed admirably for Dynamo. G. Kyhlin on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Blau-Weiss player was K. Maina. M. Rátkai was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
