Club 0 - 5 DSW
(384424451)

23-06-2012 18.15
Dark skies made the crowd of 15799 at
SchobbeStadion a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Aleksander Jarząbek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jakob Öhborn and
Steffen Kristiansen.
Club had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Simonis - Radek, Koefoed, Leberle - Görman, Bläser, Menzky, Seeler, Scholler - Simeonov, Mahler.
DSW started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Batzel - Ghinzani, Elsasser, Wade - Holler, Guşă, Dymarczyk, Matzke, Huneck - Ludka, Roger.
DSW clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
6 minutes into the game,
D. Guşă almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
The DSW free kick 13 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
D. Guşă, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 1!
After 18 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
D. Matzke a chance to increase the lead for DSW, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
DSW had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.
After 63 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
M. Huneck who increased DSW's lead to 0 - 3.
After this, you could see that the players of DSW were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
S. Scholler tried to get a goal back for Club but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move.
E. Simonis got a fingertip on
M. Huneck's shot from the left 75 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
DSW's
M. Huneck was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
T. Roger managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 4 after 80 minutes.
After 84 minutes, DSW sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
H. Holler, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 5.
DSW enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.
The most dominating Club player was without a doubt
R. Mahler.
D. Menzky turned in a dismal performance, however.
DSW's best player was
D. Guşă.
On the other hand,
O. Batzel's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 5.
