Servadei almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert G. Sgrazzutti blocked it to keep the score level. With 28 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as D. Zielinski flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Ballsportfreunde, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Some things can only be learned through experience, and J. Schaffer should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Erdnuggel a goal with 48 minutes of the match played. It was obvious that team Erdnuggel had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The visitors didn't give in and, after 68 minutes, I. Brevik got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. Down the middle came O. Laukemann, making a fantastic play that nearly had Erdnuggel take the lead after 75 minutes, but T. Klavsen preserved the tie. Ballsportfreunde's C. Gutiérrez Arce refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 77 minutes. Erdnuggel took the lead after 80 minutes making the score 2 - 3. B. Waldkirch placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. With 87 minutes played, K. Petimezas of Ballsportfreunde fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 87 minutes, R. Couto Bueno made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 3 - 3. Ballsportfreunde had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Ballsportfreunde player was without a doubt D. Servadei. V. Čížek was a disappointment, however. B. Waldkirch performed admirably for Erdnuggel. B. Ponecz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.
