(384461473)

21-07-2012 18.15
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Tivolossi saw a crowd turnout of 16142.
Patxi Dudouit was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Matthieu Borne and
Anton Straathof.
Alemannia decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Tanrıöver - Galfano, Ira, Danis - Bunnakarn, Škrobák, Cabral, Slezkin, Runge - Mortrovski, Haase.
Ballos started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Hammerschmidt - Nattheimer, Eudeline, Stirparo, Woestenburg - Hemp, Canales, Solano, Augustiner - Krummensee, Cao-Cordido.
Alemannia preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance.
Ballos mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Alemannia were very close to putting themselves one up after 2 minutes as
R. Galfano got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Ballos's
B. Krummensee left the field after 19 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
G. Carlier.
Ballos had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 35 minutes in when
G. Carlier came up alone against
H. Tanrıöver who managed a block.
A. Runge was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Alemannia's defence 36 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 1 - 0.
M. Eudeline of Ballos received a yellow card after 39 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Alemannia put themselves up 2 - 0 when
P. Mortrovski broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
It was 2 - 0 at the break.
Alemannia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.
With 48 minutes played, Alemannia's
P. Mortrovski almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
A foul called during a Ballos counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but
G. Carlier's shot rattled off the post.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Hemp from Ballos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 56 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
There was concern in the stands when, at the 64 minute mark, Ballos's
F. Stirparo hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Some beautiful play by Alemannia set up
S. Bunnakarn in a good shooting position after 66 minutes, but
C. Hammerschmidt made a great save on the low hard shot.
Alemannia's
P. Mortrovski saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 68 minutes.
Alemannia's slick passing moves completely confused the defence after 75 minutes, but thanks to
C. Hammerschmidt's miraculous save from
M. Škrobák's long shot the score remained unchanged.
Alemannia had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.
Alemannia's best player was
D. Haase.
B. Ira turned in a dismal performance, however.
J. Canales performed admirably for Ballos.
C. Hammerschmidt on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 0.
