Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at Arena Nord- Ost a little nervous, but the rain held off. Øystein Ruud was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marshall Bunney and Stefan Ingemarsson. Nord-Ost started off with a 5-5-0 lineup. Nord-Ost mostly relied on their long range shooting ability. Trubental clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Nord-Ost's G. Polizzi got himself booked for a foul. With 6 minutes played, F. Grabarczyk of Nord-Ost fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Trubental were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Instead of playing a 50/50 ball into the penalty area, Nord-Ost's F. Grabarczyk skipped past the marking defender and passed the ball to G. Polizzi who finished it off from distance. The keeper could only stand and watch as the hard shot hit the underside of the cross bar, and in to make it 1 - 0 with 32 minutes played. 36 minutes in, Trubental's Ö. Kor received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Trubental, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Ćirković from Trubental a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 61 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Délaigue got himself booked. The manager of Trubental was not happy. After 66 minutes Nord-Ost showed some great patience outside the penalty area, waiting until F. Grabarczyk could find the right opportunity to finish off the attack from distance. The long shot, however, was an easy catch for A. De Falco. The Nord-Ost players could smell victory in the air. M. Olmedo Ramos wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for C. Altmann after 70 minutes. Trubental had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

J. Järvinen performed admirably for Nord-Ost. L. Micciani turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Trubental player was without a doubt C. Hocke. However, Ö. Kor made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 0.
