Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 20328 to „Autowelt König Arena“. Juan Antonio Puerta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tobias Haraldsson and Yehuda Ben Asher. Rawetz decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, M. Causin scored for Rawetz putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 16 minutes. The visiting team's T. Förch was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 35 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. The guests took the lead 38 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in W. Ardolo scoring to make it 1 - 2. With 39 minutes played, L. Misiti of Rawetz fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Siegertypen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Always quick and a menace to his opponents, L. Llanos was very close to getting through after 49 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Rawetz's R. Moralejo came in from the right after 57 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. C. Schlemmer got left behind when Siegertypen's T. Förch made a sudden run forward after 80 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 2 - 3! The home crowd was not impressed when W. Ardolo came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Siegertypen were now up 2 - 4. T. Förch's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 86 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to E. Bliem who knocked it in for Siegertypen. 2 - 5! The referee showed Siegertypen's W. Ardolo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 88 minutes in, Rawetz's R. Moralejo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After the ball was lifted in from the left, H. Malisse was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 88 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Siegertypen had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

R. Moralejo performed admirably for Rawetz. However, C. Schlemmer made a disastrous appearance. Most important Siegertypen player was F. Sassano. W. Ardolo was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 5.
