(384481946)

23-06-2012 18.20
Clear skies welcomed the 13547 spectators who had made their way to
Estadio da Luz Buchholz.
Jussi Inglis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lluís Cañas and
Massimo Monolo.
Buchholz started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Priest - Liias, Paulsson, Pichelmann - Spoerr, Revheim, Sirgo, Gyllenander, Schladern - Mincone, Pingel.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FCSH.
Starters: Grnčarov - Muc, Clément, Crisóstomo, Saare - Englharting, Krisor, Brunet, MacCubbin - Labraña Martinez, Bassaganyas.
It was an obvious ambition of Buchholz to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
The visiting
N. Krisor was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 7 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
15 minutes into the game,
R. Schladern had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
M. Leipzig.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 16 minutes, FCSH did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
M. Brunet was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 2.
Players in Buchholz heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
21 minutes into the match,
A. Clément came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
0 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FCSH, with 53 percent of the ball.
The referee showed FCSH's
E. Muc the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
56 minutes had been played and the home team was awarded a penalty. The guests' keeper dived the right way, but
A. Sirgo was still able to reduce the score to 1 - 2.
57 minutes in, FCSH's
N. Krisor received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Buchholz needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes
D. Mincone made way for
A. Goldfuß.
FCSH increased their lead after 63 minutes when
K. Englharting broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of FCSH lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
FCSH had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.
Buchholz's top performer was clearly
K. Pingel.
On the other hand,
F. Priest's play was disheartening.
FCSH's best player was
É. Crisóstomo.
M. MacCubbin turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
