The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but
R. Spitzer-Piroth showed great heart and had a good game.
27 minutes into the match, Fuhlsbütteler's
M. Amerhauser maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1.
With 30 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Castroper's
R. Spitzer-Piroth reached
M. Müllheim's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 1 - 2.
With the scoreboard showing that 31 minutes had been played, Castroper nearly put themselves up another goal after
J. Estruch came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
33 minutes into the game,
E. Larsson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
N. Maria.
W. Helsen was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Fuhlsbütteler with a strike from the left, but
E. Sigl managed to ward the shot off for a corner.
Castroper's
A. Schmit was shown a yellow card after 37 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fuhlsbütteler, with 53 percent of the ball.
With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 47 minutes gave Fuhlsbütteler a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and
J. Hövermann stepped up to the challenge. 2 - 2

M. Weinmar gave the home team a 3 - 2 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 70 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
M. Müllheim tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
After 72 minutes, Castroper's
J. Estruch fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
Fuhlsbütteler claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
H. de Feria performed admirably for Fuhlsbütteler.
M. Weinmar turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Castroper player was without a doubt
J. Estruch.
E. Sigl on the other hand, had a terrible day.
