VfL_Eversen 3 - 1 Brandenburger
(384488729)

30-06-2012 18.20
15255 spectators arrived at
Stadion unter den Eichen, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Silvio Jarvis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pascal May and
Claus Lindekvist.
VfL_Eversen tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Arsenijević - Binka, Pereira Guerreiro, Skrzęta, Jeremić - Herber, Van De Gehuchte, Sánchez, Henze - Maravillas, Preston.
Brandenburger decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Nitz - Wasserbau, Maetze, Boudar - Vasić, Muurilainen, Urrila, Pålsson, Sparwald - Hochwächter, Riebenstahl.
Brandenburger were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Brandenburger's
S. Vasić could have put the guests one up after 6 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
J. Arsenijević was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
Given a free kick close to the byline, VfL_Eversen tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
F. Herber slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 0, 19 minutes into the game.
Brandenburger were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
A cross coming in on the right hand side left
M. Urrila alone in front of the goal after 21 minutes but his shot was woeful.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
VfL_Eversen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The corner kick from
J. Maravillas was powerfully met by the head of
M. Pereira Guerreiro to make the score 2 - 0.
Brandenburger reduced the lead after 72 minutes to 2 - 1 as
M. Urrila easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right.
73 minutes into the game,
E. Wasserbau had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
N. Palosaari.
E. Muurilainen was the new captain of Brandenburger - handed the armband by the departing player.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
C. Henze squirmed through their central defence after 78 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1.
VfL_Eversen had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.
VfL_Eversen's best player was
J. Preston.
J. Arsenijević turned in a dismal performance, however.
Brandenburger's top performer was clearly
J. Riebenstahl.
A. Pålsson was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 1.
